Keep Midland Beautiful held its 16th Annual Texas Recycles Day earlier this month. The event provided an opportunity for the community to drop off recyclable items at the Midland College Chaparral Center Parking Lot.
Items collected included computers, cell phones, hard drives, printers, televisions and other electronics (limit 6 per vehicle); as well as tires; No. 1 and 2 plastic, paper, newspaper, cardboard, and aluminum cans. Secured Document Shredding was there for shredding. Commercial Metals Company took home appliances, and Goodwill West Texas collected reusable household items, clothing, accessories, furniture and toys.
Keep Midland Beautiful’s event partners included “presenting sponsor” Callon Petroleum along with Conoco Philips, Commercial Metals Company, B&K Recycling, Secured Document Shredding, Chevron, Endeavor Energy Resources, Better Business Bureau, Bill Williams Tire Center, BRI, Midland College, Goodwill of Midland, Midland County and the city of Midland.
