HUBER HEIGHTS — Montgomery County Environmental Services, the City of Huber Heights and Eco Development are hosting a Styrofoam recycling event to celebrate Earth Day this year.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 23 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Huber Height’s The Rose Music Center’s parking lot located on 6800 Executive Blvd.
Styrofoam will be collected and processed by Eco Development to be recycled into new materials, according to a release. Eco Development will transport the collection to its facility in Mason, where the material will be processed and recycled into products like surfboards, picture frames and other items.
You don’t have to be a Montgomery County resident to participate, according to the release.
Used food containers will not be accepted.
