SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The first of a series of Trash Off trash pickup and a recycling event for unwanted electronics will be held this Saturday, 23rd March, 2024 at the GEUS parking lot at 2810 Wesley St. This is being organized by Keep Greenville Beautiful in association with the City of Greenville and GEUS.

The Greenville residents may bring their unwanted electronics to the GEUS parking lot 9:00 AM-12 Noon. The event will accept a wide range of electronic items including desktop computers, laptops, cell phones, entertainment equipment, cables wiring, chargers, rechargeable lithium batteries, monitors, tablets, small household electronic items, table top copiers/printers, fax machines, DVD and VHS players, and gaming consoles.
However, the event will not accept tires, paint, mattresses, hazardous chemicals, alkaline batteries and paper.
The City plans to host two more free events next month. Paper documents for shredding will be accepted at W. Walworth Harrison Public Library on 19th April, 2024 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, but limited to three banker’s boxes per person. Also, an event to help residents get rid of larger unwanted items such as construction materials, furniture, household waste, washers and dryers, stoves, cooktops and microwaves will be held on 20th April, 2024 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Fletcher Warren Civic Center.
