Apex Waste Announced New Acquisitions to Expand Colorado Operations


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Colorado-headquartered Apex Waste Solutions- a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, announced significant expansion in the region by way of two new acquisitions. Further to the acquisitions, it has now become a vertically integrated company.

The company acquired Steamboat Springs-based Twin Enviro Services, thereby adding two landfills, three hauling locations, an MRF and a composting facility to its fold. In another transaction, it added three hauling sites and a transfer station from WM in Steamboat Springs area. The financial details of both the transactions were not disclosed.

Since partnering with Kinderhook in late-2023, Apex has expanded rapidly, completing four acquisitions till date. The company has now emerged as the largest independent hauler in Colorado.

Scott Lukach, CEO, Apex Waste Solutions stated that the company is thrilled to welcome the Twin Enviro and WM teams into its portfolio of operating sites across Colorado. The transactions mark its entry into adjacent geographies, he added. The company is well positioned to continue to grow across its Colorado footprint, said Rob Michalik, managing director at Kinderhook.
