Steelwrist opens new office in US

Sweden-based construction, demolition and metal recycling attachments maker Steelwrist AB has opened a new North American headquarters facility in Newington, Connecticut.

The company inaugurated its new headquarters in late spring at a ceremony attended by United States Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, executives from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Steelwrist dealers and customers.

With the new facility in place Steelwrist says it “has the capacity to continue its growth journey in North America and fortify its leading position in the region.”

Steelwrist describes itself as the fastest growing supplier of tiltrotators in North America. Tiltorotators are placed above other excavator attachments and are designed to allow those attachments to then rotate 360 degrees and to swivel as much as 45 degrees to all sides.

“This inauguration represents a significant step forward for Steelwrist in North America, and with the new facility we can continue our exceptional growth trajectory and even better serve our customers and dealers in the region,” said Stefan Stockhaus, Steelwrist CEO, at the event.

Added the CEO, “It was a pleasure to host Senator Richard Blumenthal and explain the efficiency improvement potential that our products can bring to the U.S. construction industry.”

Steelwrist says it entered the North American market at the ConExpo/Con-Agg event in Las Vegas in 2017. It established its first location in Berlin, Connecticut, around that same time.

The new headquarters in Newington, only a few miles from Berlin, is more than five times larger, according to Steelwrist, which it says underscores its “rapid growth and commitment to the region.”

“With increased capacity and improved infrastructure, Steelwrist is well positioned to continue leading innovation in the tiltrotator market and supporting the needs of its North American dealers and customers,” states the company.

Steelwrist says contractors in North America who operate excavators are seeking to “increase the efficiency and versatility of their investments,” prompting them to add, “The penetration of tiltrotators is growing rapidly in the region. In recent years, Steelwrist has experienced strong growth, with tiltrotator sales increasing at a high speed.”

Remarks Richard Aulin, Steelwrist’s vice president for the Americas region, “I am very excited to have inaugurated our new headquarter in Newington, which marks a new chapter in Steelwrist’s support to the North America market. We have an exceptional team in place where every single one goes the extra mile for our customers. Combining this with our new facility, I look forward to continued success.”
