Solarcycle, Runergy Alabama Reached Agreement on Solar Panel Recycling

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): A deal has been concluded between Solarcycle and Runergy Alabama.

Runergy's decommissioned solar panels will be recycled by Solarcycle in accordance with the agreement. Additionally, Runergy will receive the glass needed for the new panels from the company's prospective Georgia plant. The agreement is a component of Solarcycle's plan to increase the Odessa advanced solar recycling facility's processing capacity to one million panels annually.

Further to this agreement, Solarcycle will supply at least 30 million square meters of glass or enough to produce 4 gigawatts of energy from its upcoming Georgia facility over a period of five years.

With this new collaboration agreement, Solarcycle will be able to further its goal of making the solar supply chain more sustainable. Apart from creating well-paying jobs for local families, the collaboration will result in a noteworthy decrease in carbon emissions throughout the whole supply chain.

In a statement, Runergy Alabama's managing director, Jusong Wang, said the company is excited to work with Solarcycle to improve the efficiency and sustainability of its production process. In addition, he said, it will make sure that the products' entire lifecycle—from manufacturing to recycling—is more sustainable.
