SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): On November 15, 2024, the Fort Leonard Wood Recycling Center will commemorate America Recycles Day.
From 9 AM to 2 PM, the festivities will be held at the Fort Leonard Wood Recycling Center, which is situated at Bldg. 2549 on Ordinance Drive. The celebration will include facilities tours that highlight the advantages of recycling. Batteries, cell phones, and other electronic garbage will also be accepted at the recycling facility. Over 1,700 tons of recyclables are produced annually at the Fort Leonard Wood Recycling Center. In addition to refrigerators, air conditioners, and residential lawn and garden equipment, it also accepts electrical appliances like televisions, microwaves, toasters, lamps, and fans.
The Recycling Center, which is situated on Ordnance Drive in Building 2549, is the main location for collection. Additionally, residents have access to drop-off boxes outside the Recycling Center's fence, the Main Exchange parking lot, and the Mini Mall parking lot. Glass, aluminum, cardboard, white paper, and #1 and #2 plastic are among the materials that are permitted.
