American Beverages Invests $161K to Modernize Recycling Infrastructure

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): A $161,000 commitment was made by American Beverage to promote the implementation of new curbside recycling systems that are universal and cart-based. More than 2,700 households in Cook County, Illinois's three underprivileged villages of Dixmoor, Posen, and Phoenix will benefit from this. The Recycling Partnership, a non-profit, is working with the project's implementation team.

New curbside recycling services will be added to current contracts as a result of the anticipated expenditure. It will provide funding for an educational outreach initiative designed to assist locals in becoming more environmentally conscious recyclers. At least 11,000 residents are anticipated to benefit from the recycling education program.

The Illinois Beverage Association's executive director, Madeline Norris, commented on the investment, saying the organization is pleased to support Cook County's endeavor to provide universal curbside recycling for its underprivileged neighborhoods. According to Norris, this will encourage efforts to turn priceless bottles and cans into new goods.

Over the course of the following ten years, the initiative is anticipated to collect roughly 6.7 million pounds of new recyclables.

As of now, American Beverage has spent over $3.5 million in five projects; the remaining four are located in Chicago, LaSalle, Rockford, and Villa Park. Over the next ten years, it is anticipated that these initiatives will gather about 6.7 million pounds of recycled plastic.
