The next Engage Toledo recycle and refuse drop-off event is set for Saturday, and adults can receive three free disposable masks while they get rid of household waste or recyclables.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Longfellow Elementary School, 1955 W. Laskey Road.
Acceptable items include electronic waste except for televisions, cathode-ray tube monitors, or appliances. You may also drop off 10 tires, on or off the rim, excluding commercial tires.
Documents, housewares, clothing, toys, bulky items, and refuse are accepted. Latex paint also will be accepted for $1 per gallon.
Free disposable face masks will be provided to residents during this event, up to three for each adult, while supplies last.
Additional Engage Toledo drop-offs are planned for Sept. 12 at Good Shepherd Church, 3934 W. Laskey, and Sept. 26 at Friendship Park, 2930 131st St., both from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Sept. 19 at the Toledo Zoo’s Anthony Wayne Trail parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
