Boulder residents can recycle their Christmas trees until Jan. 31 through their regularly scheduled compost pickup.
To do this, people should remove the decorations from the tree and place it in or next to their compost bin.
Western Disposal Services, at 5880 Butte Mill Road in Boulder, also accepts trees at its yard waste drop-off center. Trees are accepted year-round, according to a Western Disposal Services spokesperson. There is a fee to drop off trees, but Boulder residents get a 40% discount. Call 303-444-2037 for more information or pricing.
Western Disposal is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
