No. 1 Insulated Copper Wire Scrap is often generated by electrical contractors on sites. Insulated wires can be recovered from a wide variety of appliances such as transformers, inductors and motors.
Also, note that insulation does not have value. If one has huge quantities of insulated copper wire, it is advisable to remove the insulation from copper wire by hand using a wire stripper in order to maximize your return. Alternatively, insulation can be burned off by using blow torch. But small quantities may be sold as such.
