SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Colorado-based AMP has selected Tim Stuart, the former executive vice president and chief operating officer for Republic Services as its new CEO. At the same time, Matanya Horowitz, the company's founder, will take over as chief technology officer.

In his prior position at Republic Services, Stuart had concentrated on implementing and growing innovative technologies, according to a press statement from AMP. He was also instrumental in managing the company's digital operations strategy, integrations, and field operations. According to the company, Tim's extensive industry expertise and experience will help it compete as a major player in the market.
Stuart worked for Republic for almost eighteen years in a variety of roles. He was elevated to COO and executive vice president in 2019. He worked for WM for over ten years before joining Republic Services.
Artificial intelligence (AI) sorting systems are the main focus of AMP's design and construction of recycling facilities. It has been working with a number of different businesses to construct customized, automated recycling plants. One example is its recent collaboration with Recycling and Disposal Solutions, located in Portsmouth, Virginia.
