AROW Awards Honored Wisconsin Recycling and Waste Reduction Efforts


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): During its recent Annual Awards ceremony, the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) honored the recycling and trash reduction efforts of people and organizations across the state of Wisconsin. In late February of this year, the event took place at the 2025 Wisconsin Integrated Resource Management Conference.

The esteemed Christy Dixon Recycler of the Year Award was chosen to go to Ron Jongetjes of JOHNS Disposal. The recipient of the award is a person whose career exhibits the greatest levels of professionalism.

Recycling Connections in Stevens Point, WI was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Waste Reduction and Recycling Award. This award is given to an individual or group that has excelled in environmental education, specifically related to solid waste and recycling. 

The Outstanding Achievement in Waste Reduction and Recycling Award was awarded to Rubina Martini, owner of Process in Stevens Point, WI. This award is given to an individual or group from the public, private, or non-profit sector that has excelled in excelled with waste reduction and recycling.

According to Betsy Powers, President of AROW, this year's awardees highlight achievements in the public and commercial sectors and demonstrate the impact of recycling and trash reduction in Wisconsin.
