SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Burlington County has announced dates for multiple paper shredding events for its residents. The schedule for the first three events of 2023 were announced yesterday.
The first of the three spring paper shredding events will be held on Sunday, 26th March from 9AM to 1PM at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, 22000 Burlington-Columbus Road in Florence. The other two events will also be held at the same location, on 21st April and 21st May, 2023.
All the three events will provide County residents with the opportunity to safely recycle confidential documents including bank and credit card statements, tax returns as well as papers containing sensitive data such as account and Social Security details. The event will not accept normal paper materials such as magazines, junk mail and household trash.
The shredding event is limited to Burlington County residents only. Identification will be required. Also, there will be a limit of four bags or boxes of paper, with each bag or box limited to 10 pounds.
In 2022, the County hosted a total of six shredding events. Nearly 5,000 residents participated in these events, which resulted in recycling of over 70 tons of paper. In addition, a special collection drive during the November 2022 shredding event saw more than 50 pounds of plastic material being recycled.
