Garbage and recycling pick-up in Pittsburgh was canceled Tuesday due to the weather.
A snowstorm that moved through the area Monday night brought several inches of snow to the city, making many side streets inaccessible.
According to the city, workers will try again Wednesday, “but with winter weather expected to continue through the week residents should be prepared for their normal pickup to be delayed one day.”
The city asks that residents clear snow from refuse and recycling materials and sidewalks to help workers access the materials.
