SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The City of Davenport announced its decision to make changes to its annual recycling and bulky waste calendar program. The strategic decision comes after detailed evaluation of the cost, benefit, and use of the annually mailed calendar, said the city news release.
As per decision, the city will stop mailing an annual print solid waste calendar starting the solid waste season in 2023. Instead, the residents will be provided an option to pick up a copy of the solid waste calendar from any of the following locations- Eastern, Fairmount, and Main libraries; the Davenport Public Works Center; Davenport City Hall; the River’s Edge; and any Davenport Hy-Vee Customer Service. This will be available until Tuesday, Jan 3, 2023.
The holiday schedules and details on what to recycle where will be available at the City website as well as in the Go All In QC app. The website and the app also provide collection schedule and waste disposal search tool for the benefit of City residents.
The calendar will feature both North and South routes, with North routes in purple colour and South routes in green. The residents picking up a replacement calendar are advised to record the route information from their existing calendar, the news release said.
