SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): James Pease, Director of Public Works, City of Ripon, in the Council meeting held 12th December, announced that the City Recycling Center located at 178 S. Industrial Ave. will remain open on all days of the week for a period of time. The City had recently hired two part-time employees to ensure extended hours of operation at the facility.
The recycling facility will be open from 4 PM to 6 PM on week days from Monday to Friday. In addition, it will remain open on Tuesdays 10 AM to Noon. The operating hours for Saturday are 8 AM to4 PM, whereas it will be open from Noon to 4 PM on Sundays, the City news release said.

The Ripon Recycling Center will remain closed during the upcoming Christmas holidays (December 24th-25th) and New Year (January 1st) as well as on all major holidays.
The accepted items for recycling at the City Recycling Center include cardboard, television and screen, plastics, glass, mixed paper, newspaper, Styrofoam, aluminum cans and plastic bottles. The cardboard must be clean and free of trash. Also, TVs and screens must be loaded directly into the container.
It must be noted that the entire revenue generated by the Recycling Center goes to the students of the Ripon Unified School District.
