The Hancock County Solid Waste Management District will host a Tire Recycling Day event to be held Saturday. The event will be sponsored by Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the back parking lot of the Hancock County Educational Service Center, 7746 County Road 140.

The event is free for Hancock County residents over the age of 16, with proof of county residence required. No commercial or industrial participation is allowed. Each person is limited to four tires and each tire must be 17 inches or less and must be off the rim.
