Thanks to the hard work of residents and the collaboration of Recycle Services, Tri State Resource Recovery, Evansville will once again have the capacity to accept glass for recycling.

On Friday, there will be a chance for the community to gather and see the logistics of where residents and businesses will be able to drop off material and hear the story of how it all came together.

According to Evansville City Councilwoman At-Large Mary Allen, official glass-drop off begins on August 2, where residents of Vanderburgh County will then be able to drop off glass.

The drop-off location will be at Tristate Resource Recovery at 1511 Harriet Street in Evansville.

The hours of operation will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Officials say glass drop-off for businesses will be on Fridays only.
