Indianapolis residents on the south side who participate in community recycling will have to change locations where they can drop off their items.

According to a news release from the Indianapolis Department of Public Works, the department is removing the community recycling drop-off site located at the Beck Service Center, located at 6025 Madison Ave.

Officials said the closest public drop-off recycling sites to this location will be the following Kroger locations on the southeast side:

• The Kroger location at 8130 E. Southport Rd.
• The Kroger location at 8745 S. Emerson Ave.

Officials said continuing to leave waste at the Beck Service Center site will result in illegal dumping fines. Drop-off locations are for disposing of household recyclable materials and commercial use of the sites are prohibited.
