Liberty Tire Recycling Announced Top Executive Appointment


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Liberty Tire Recycling- the market leader in tire recycling management in North America announced appointments to key executive post.

According to company press release, Andrew Meurer has joined Liberty Tire Recycling as President and Chief Commercial Officer. He will play a key role in collaborating with tire manufacturers and tire retailers with the aim of expanding existing and design new sustainable end-of-life solutions for tires. He will focus on the company’s efforts to achieve its goal of zero waste in collaboration with customers and other industry partners.

Meurer joins the company after serving at Michelin for more than 12 years, most recently as Vice President of Sales for the North American Passenger Tire Division. Prior to joining Michelin, he has also served in various multinational companies, including Procter and Gamble (P&G) and Kimberly-Clark.

Thomas Womble, CEO of Liberty Tire Recycling stated that Meurer is the right person for the next phase of the company. End-of-life tires, if not managed properly, poses significant risks to manufacturers as well as retailers, Womble added.

Nearly 300 million scrap tires are produced in North America every year. This number is projected to increase in the upcoming years, in line with the rapid growth in the number of cars on road.
