Montgomery County Announced Delay in Trash Collection


SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Trash collection in Montgomery County has been delayed on account of New Year holidays.

The services provided by the City of Dayton Division of Waste Collection in three communities have been affected.

All trash and recycling stops scheduled for Monday will now take place on Tuesday this week in the City of Dayton. All scheduled trash and recycling stops from Tuesday routes will be picked up on Wednesday, January 3rd. This will continue all week with being one day behind. There are no bulk stops scheduled for this week in Dayton.

The City of Moraine trash and recycling collection will also be delayed by one day. The collection has been moved from Friday January 5th to Saturday January 6th. Also, there will be no bulk collection in Moraine this week. The same delayed schedule will be in place for Jefferson Township residents as well. Customers are being asked to place containers at the collection point by 6 AM on collection day.

Rumpke announced that its trash collection will be delayed by one day in Trotwood this week. The city’s announcement on social media page urged residents to place all items curbside the night before their scheduled collection day, in order to prevent missed collections.
