The show collected a total of 516,160 pounds of recycled plastic, cardboard and aluminum. Upon comparison with NPE2018, this year’s event collected 118,565 pounds of plastic more than the previous year. This amounts to a year-on-year rise of 29%. There were 105 exhibitors in total, a notable increase of 12.9% over NPE2018. For the first time, the event recycled both the film and the attendee badges. 11,713 pounds of HD/LDPE film in total were gathered for recycling.

Approximately 3,700 pounds of hard-to-recycle plastic were gathered during the exhibition and given to the nonprofit organization Helpertunity. From there, the plastic was used for art projects by elderly residents in nearby nursing facilities in Orlando, Florida.

By meeting its recycling targets at NPE2024, PLASTICS and the industry as a whole have accomplished a remarkable feat, according to Vice President of Sustainability Patrick Krieger. He expressed gratitude to attendees, recycling partners, and exhibitors for helping to make the event a great success.

NPE2027 will take place in Orlando from May 3–7, 2027.
