Plum Creek Environmental Secured Ownership of K-PAC Compactors Business


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): New Way has reportedly transferred ownership of its K-PAC Compactors business to Plum Creek Environmental- a WestPoint, MS-based leading waste and recycling equipment manufacturer. The transaction is part of New Way’s strategy to focus manufacturing operations on refuse collection vehicles.

According to company news release, the K-PAC Compactors brand will be added as a premium product line to Plum Creek’s compactor division. Both the companies will work in partnership to offer complete waste solutions to their customers. Further to the transaction, New Way will dedicate its efforts to streamlining and expanding production of refuse trucks at its facilities in Scranton, IA and Booneville, MS.

Commenting on the deal, Don Ross, Chief Sales Officer, New Way stated that K-PAC Compactors will be a good fit with Plum Creek Environmental. The sale is in alignment with the company’s commitment to optimize its core business.

Andrew Wamble, Patner, Plum Creek said that it is excited to partner with New Way and carry on the outstanding reputation of K-PAC Compactors. The acquisition will expand the PLUM-PAK line of waste compactors, thus enabling it to offer a comprehensive lineup of highly engineered compaction equipment to its customers.
