SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Portage County Solid Waste announced that it will hold an electronic and small appliance recycling collection event for its residents. The collection event will be held at the Portage County Transfer Facility located at 600 Moore Rd. in Plover on Saturday, April 13 8.30 AM to Noon. Businesses are prohibited from participating in the event, the press release said.
The event will be offered at an extremely discounted rate of $10 per vehicle, with number of items per vehicle restricted to 25, as the event is funded by electronics manufacturers. The payment can be made in cash or in checks written out to PCSW or Portage County Solid Waste. No credit or debit cards will be accepted.

In order to reduce traffic congestions and long wait times, the participants are required to pre-register by 10th April midnight. Appointment slots will be offered every half-hour starting 8.30 AM. The participants are advised to arrive on time and not more than 15 minutes before or after their allotted time slot.
All common electronic items and small appliances will be accepted. However, the collection event will not accept items such as ballasts, batteries, bulbs/lamps, capacitors, dehumidifies, dryers, gas cylinders, ink & toner cartridges, holiday lights, liquids, medical & radioactive wastes, medical & lab equipment, refrigerators, smoke detectors, stoves, vape pens, and washing machines.
