Ravalli County Recycling of Hamilton and Recycling Works of Missoula, will sponsor a one-day container glass recycling event on April 17.

The two nonprofit groups will accept all types of any color and unbroken glass like bottles and jars that previously contained beverages and/or food. Lids must be removed.

The event will be held at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. People should use the north gate on Old Corvallis Road past the fair building to access the event.

CDC guidelines will be followed for a no-contact glass collection. Volunteers will take the glass out of people’s car for them.

There is a recommended $1 per gallon donation to cover shipping and processing fees. All colors of food-grade glass are accepted.
