THOMASTON — The Buttermilk Drive cooperative transfer station, in Thomaston, will host a community recycling education event on Saturday, July 31, according to the Board of Directors of the Owls Head, South Thomaston, Thomaston Solid Waste Corporation.
The event, which is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., will be conducted by representatives of the EcoMaine Waste Management Services.
Transfer station staff and EcoMaine representatives will be available to answer questions and to offer advice on recycling and solid waste disposal methods. Representatives of ScrapDogs Community Compost will also be present.
The Owls Head, South Thomaston, Thomaston Solid Waste Corporation was formed several years ago through an interlocal agreement between the three towns.
