Recycling Locations for East Wenatchee Residents Have Changed

Spring is in the air and spring cleaning and recycling will soon be a priority.

According to East Wenatchee Mayor Jerrilea Crawford, the location for free recycling drop offs have changed.

The City of Wenatchee encourages recycling, and would like the public to know that there are several locations in East Wenatchee to drop off your recyclables for free.

“We used to have paper recycling available at the City of Wenatchee in the back of the building.

At the beginning of the year our new contract does not have recycling available on the City Hall Campus,” said Crawford.

East Wenatchee Recycling has recycling trailers that are accessible 24 hours a day and is organized through Douglas County Solid Waste.

“For folks who want to take their recycling and drop it off there are options on our website and I encourage people to go there,” said Crawford.

Recycling helps to save energy, reduces water consumption, preserves natural resources, and creates jobs.
