SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) announced that it will hold a series of free electronic waste recycling events across all eight wards of the District of Columbia during the current year. A total of 32 such events will be held, in partnership with leading electronics manufacturers including Acer, Canon, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, Samsung, and VTech.
The first event will be held on Saturday, January 27th, between 10am and 2pm. RLG’s collection vehicle will be located on V Street NW between 13th St NW & 14th St NW (near Harrison Playground). Residents are encouraged to bring their used electronics for recycling to the collection vehicle. Representatives of small businesses or small non-profits too could participate in the event.
The event will accept a wide range of electronic items including computers, tablets, monitors, TVs, desktop printers, mice, keyboards, video game consoles and cell phones. The collected items will be responsibly handled by e-Stewards certified electronic recyclers.
The other events will be held on different dates at different locations. Most of the collections will occur on Saturdays, though not compulsorily.
Andriana Kontovrakis, RLG Director of Compliance Services stated that the company is pleased to offer free electronics recycling events in the District, year after year.
