Spring Valley JFK will be hosting its annual electronic recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 9, in the north parking lot at 999 N. Strong Ave.
Accepted items include: desktop computers, laptops, tablets, servers, network equipment, printers, power supplies, cable boxes, wires/cables fax machines, LCD monitors, keyboards/mice, cell phones, office phones, telecom equipment, batteries (laptop, sealed Led(ups) rechargeable, lithium ion), gaming consoles, Ac adapters, audio equipment and digital cameras.
Items that will not be accepted include: wood, liquids, glass, fluorescent bulbs, hazardous/bio-hazardous materials, anything including mercury and freon(A/C units, dehumidifiers), pressured containers, batteries: alkaline, NiCd, NiMH.
Costs is $10 per vehicle; $40 each for each TV - plasma, flat, smart tube, CRT monitors; $3 each for toasters, blenders, pots, kettles, mini fridge, microwaves, electric heaters, vacuums, floor speakers with wood casing.
