NORTHBOROUGH – Substitute trash truck drivers working amid COVID-19-induced staffing issues have missed “a significant number of customers” in Northborough over the last two weeks.
That’s according to a town announcement sent to community members early Sunday afternoon.
“Republic Services apologizes for any inconvenience and will do their best to rectify the situation in a timely manner,” the town noted in that announcement. “Thank you for your continued patience.”
The recent surge in COVID-19 cases has prompted widespread staffing shortages across industries in recent weeks.
