One of the components of keeping as many items out of the waste stream as possible is “re-use.”

The Wright County Recycling / Compost Center reminds county residents of their “re-use room” on site that allows residents to take up to 10 items per day that have been deemed to be re-usable.

The hope is that popular items such as paint, stain, cleaning supplies, oil and antifreeze that have been turned in for proper disposal can be used or re-used, instead of being disposed of.

Officials say the stock is continually rolling over, so residents will find different items with each visit.
