WM Announced $38M Investment in Wisconsin Recycling Facility


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): WM- the leading waste management environmental solutions provider announced plans to invest approximately $38 million in latest recycling technology at its Germantown, Wisconsin recycling facility- one of Wisconsin’s largest recycling processing facilities. The proposed investment will lead to efficient processing of recyclables and generation of higher quality product from the facility.

The investment focuses on rebuilding the plant with a state-of-the-art design which comprises of state-of-the-art technologies for sorting residential and commercial recyclables. Incidentally, the facility accepts and processes recyclables from communities and business throughout Wisconsin and surrounding areas.

The project is expected to begin in May, with completion expected around late December this year. During this period, WM will ensure that the recyclables destined for the plant are processed by its other recycling plants in the region. The rebuild will boost the facility’s recycling capacity to over 200,000 tons per year.

Frank Fello, Vice President, WM Upper Midwest Area noted that the proposed investment demonstrates its commitment to growing recycling in the state of Wisconsin by boosting sustainability efforts. Sustainability is at the core of its business, he added.
