SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Keep Calhoun Gordon Beautiful announced that it will hold its Fall Recycling Event Saturday, Oct. 21. The event will be held at Rock Bridge Community Church, 906 Curtis Parkway from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The event will accept household paints as well as hazardous materials and wastes. Thinners or removers will not be accepted. Tires will be accepted, but will be limited to 10 tires per customer. No business or commercial dealers are allowed to participate in the event. Also, it will not accept tractor trailer tires, agricultural or farm tires, tires over 20”, and tires with rims.
All common electronic waste will be accepted. The event will not accept e-cigs/vapes, TVs with tubes, older CRTs with tubes, microwave ovens with glass fronts, etc. The other accepted items include batteries, hard plastic, soft plastic and plastic films. Mecury batteries will not be accepted.
The Fall Recycling event will offer on-site shredding services to customers, with a limit of up to 5 boxes per customer. It will take donations for eyeglasses, food as well as new and used tennis shoes. Also, blood mobile will be present at the site to accept blood donations from those interested.
