FCC Environmental Services Acquired Florida WTE Facility

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Win Waste Innovations sold a waste-to-energy plant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Houston-based FCC Environmental Services. By the second quarter of this year, the acquisition agreement should be finalized.

Since 1991, the South Broward WTE plant that was purchased has been operational. It can handle around 824,000 tons of garbage a year, producing enough electricity to power 41,000 local residences and businesses.
