The cutting-edge facility will have AI-driven technologies and other contemporary sorting technology. Additionally, it will greatly increase recycling effectiveness and result in a large decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. Up to 30 new employment are anticipated to be created in the area by the facility.
In order to educate the public about contemporary recycling methods and environmental responsibilities, the facility will also have a communal viewing room on site.
The new division is intended to function independently and will be handled independently from its current garbage services.
The purchase of the facility's land would cost $5.6 million, which has been approved by the Grand Junction City Council. The Rural Jump-Start Program will provide Bruin Waste with grant assistance of up to $20,000 to help with launch expenses.
