PepsiCo Collaborates with AI Recycling Assistant Sorting System

SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): New York-headquartered multinational food company epsiCo declared that it will work with Intuitive AI to deploy an AI recycling assistant sorting system in all of its U.S. office locations. In addition, a few partner locations will implement the Oscar Sort AI recycling sorting technology.

The AI sorting system identifies a wide range of materials and guides users to the correct bin. This will result in users disposing of their waste into the correct bin, thus preventing contamination and overall recycling accuracy. The system gives users real-time feedback via an interactive digital display.

Oscar Sort's reach in busy public areas will be increased thanks to the collaboration with PepsiCo, according to Hassan Murad, CEO and co-founder of Intuitive AI. According to Murad, it seeks to increase circularity and educate customers in an entertaining manner.

PepsiCo Beverages North America's Senior Director of Sustainability, Emma Stradling, stated that the partnership's objectives are to increase waste diversion rates and enhance recycling accuracy. Furthermore, by providing its clients with expanded sustainability capabilities, it will support the retention of important commodities in the supply chain.
