SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Portage County Solid Waste declared that it will hold a recycling collection event for small appliances and electronics. The event will take place at the Portage County Transfer Facility, located at 600 Moore Road in Plover, on April 12 from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
Only inhabitants of Portage County will be able to attend. Participants must register in advance, no later than midnight on April 9, 2025, if they want to attend. Slots for appointments are available every half an hour. There are currently just a very small number of slots available. To prevent traffic jams, participants are asked to arrive no more than fifteen minutes before their scheduled appointment time.

Each car will cost $20 for the event, and payment must be made in cash or by check made payable to Portage County Solid Waste or PCSW. Credit or debit cards will not be accepted at the event. Additionally, according to the event organizers, a maximum of 25 goods per car will be permitted.
Ballasts, batteries, lightbulbs, lamps, capacitors, dehumidifiers, dryers, gas cylinders, ink and toner cartridges, holiday lights, liquids, medical and radioactive wastes, lab and medical equipment, refrigerators, smoke detectors, stoves, vape pens, or washing machines are among the items that are not permitted at the event.
