Waste Pro’s New Contracts and Acquisitions Hit Record in 2024


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Over the course of the previous year, Waste Pro signed a record number of municipal recycling contracts. Additionally, the corporation set a new acquisition record in 2024.

In addition to reporting the renewal of up to 32 exclusive long-term municipal contracts, the company signed 32 additional contracts. Nearly 46,000 residential consumers are served by these municipal agreements. It gained close to 200,000 additional clients throughout its footprints thanks to the new contracts. Contract durations range from one to ten years, with the possibility of additional extensions. The new enlarged agreement with Orange County, Florida, and the new contract with Sarasota County are the two most notable contracts among them.

Waste Pro reported that 15 acquisition agreements had been completed in the preceding year. The company's residential clientele in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee has grown as a result of these purchases. Additionally, Kentucky is now included in its residential service area. For these acquisitions, the corporation spent about $140 million.

Currently, Waste Pro operates more than 90 sites in 11 states, including five recycling centers, 16 transfer stations, and 28 landfills. It has a fleet of more than 4,200 cars and employs close to 5,000 people.
