According to the corporation, the move into the new market comes after thorough research revealed a chance to give locals and companies another choice. Due to multiple acquisitions by major industry players, the Denver metro market has seen significant consolidation in recent years.

"The company believes that the way it does business will resonate with the Denver metro area community," said Alexa Kircher Fang, daughter of company founder Robert Kircher. She noted that Aspen has been excited about the opportunity to serve the businesses and residents across the region, she added.

Aspen Waste Systems has expanded over the last 35 years to rank among the top 20 garbage carriers in the nation. It employs about 350 people and runs a fleet of 240 trucks.
