Morris County to Host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) announced the schedule of household hazardous waste collection events for the rest of the year.

The first of the series of events will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany. This will be followed by another event, which will be held at the same venue from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14. The final event of 2024 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany.

The events will be open to all residents of Morris County. Meantime, businesses are not allowed to participate in these events.

All the above events will accept a wide range of household hazardous materials, including aerosol cans, asbestos, automotive fluids, fire extinguishers, household cleaning products, batteries, oil-based paint and paint products, thinners, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers to name a few. Meantime, the events will not accept electronic devices. Also, radioactive materials, explosives and highly reactive materials will not be accepted.
