Veolia North America Published Annual Sustainability Report


SEATTLE (Recycling Monster): Veolia North America (VNA) announced publication of its annual Sustainability Report, highlighting the company’s noteworthy progress on a wide range of environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets in the region during the past year.

The company assisted the local cities and industry in achieving their environmental targets. About 430,000 tons of Scope 4 greenhouse gas emissions were prevented as a result of it. According to the report, VNA treated 368 billion gallons of wastewater, processed 1.8 million tons of hazardous waste, and processed 237 billion gallons of potable water.

The company successfully implemented 80% of its planned biodiversity programs in as many as 10 priority sites across the U.S. Through water reuse and conservation techniques, the company has significantly improved the resilience of drought-prone communities. VNA achieved an important milestone by treating nearly 2.1 billion gallons of drinking water for regulated PFAS.

Fred Van Heems, Chief Executive Officer of Veolia North America noted that the company is setting out on an even more ambitious journey toward the company’s 2024–2027 GreenUp strategy.
